4.3/10 DIN connectors offer the same robust design of 7-16 connectors with a smaller and lighter footprint, allowing for much more dense, lighter-weight applications. These designs offer a very stable PIM performance and easier installation. Silver-plated contacts and White Bronze plated bodies offer a high degree of conductivity, corrosion resistance, and durability.
The 4.1/9.5mm connectors fall between the Type N and 7-16 in terms of size and have been used extensively in low PIM telecom applications. The 4.1/9.5 requires good torque of the coupling nut to achieve low PIM. The 4.3-10 has for the most part replaced the 4.1/9.5.
The 7-16 series are extremely rugged traditional low PIM interfaces used extensively in telecom applications. They are especially suitable for base stations and broadcast communication systems.
The QMA connector is a quick disconnect version of the SMA with low RF leakage. The QMA series offers a more convenient installation than SMA connectors, with a snap-on instead of a threaded coupling. Another benefit of eliminating the threaded coupling is the denser packaging since there is no requirement for wrench clearance. The QMA Low PIM connector has for the most part been replaced by Nex10 and 2.2-5.0.
